At home, at school or at work, each of us can do our parts to help the environment. There are so many simple decisions and changes that we can make in our every day routines that will reduce our impacts.
For example, did you know that unplugging your cell phone charger once the battery is charged can save electricity? Even when electronics are turned off or fully charged, they still draw electricity if they are plugged in. In fact according to the US Department of Energy, “75% of the electricity used to power home electronics is consumed while the products are turned off”!
