This year the competition will be a little different. In addition to tracking the amount of recyclables generated per week, we will also be tracking the amount of garbage generated each week. Our goal…to minimize the amount of waste generated on campus! It's never been easier to show your school spirit. You can help ISU win by recycling! For ideas on how to reduce how much you throw in the trash each week check out these tips.
In 2001 a competition began between Ohio University and Miami University to see who could recycle the most over a 10 week period. That year Miami won. The competition has grown exponentially since it began.
Recycle Mania is a 10 week competition between colleges and universities across the country to see who can recycle the most. The winners in each category receive a traveling trophy and a permanent award to recognize their accomplishments.
